Les ingénieurs de Forge Motorsport ont développé ce refroidisseur intermédiaire Tube & Fin haute performance pour remplacer le refroidisseur intermédiaire OEM trouvé sur le nouveau VW T6 2.0 TSI. Cette fourgonnette utilise un dérivé du moteur 2.0TSI « EA888 » hautes performances que l'on trouve dans la très populaire Golf Gti.
Au cours du processus de développement approfondi de ce refroidisseur intermédiaire, plusieurs options et constructions de noyau différentes ont été testées et évaluées avant de s'installer sur ce noyau de tube et d'aileron d'environ 695 x 311 x 62 mm.
Offrant des températures d'admission considérablement réduites par rapport à l'OEM et une augmentation de la puissance de +7.Bhp et 8Nm de couple lorsqu'il est monté sur un véhicule de série.
Avec cette capacité supplémentaire de refroidisseur intermédiaire, le remappage du véhicule apporterait des gains de performances supplémentaires. Le refroidisseur intermédiaire s'adapte directement au véhicule et aucune modification ou ajustement du pare-chocs n'est nécessaire. L'aspect intense, mais OEM, du revêtement en poudre noire durable est ce qui donne à ce refroidisseur intermédiaire une finition supérieure en termes de qualité et de performances.
